Dear Families and Guardians,
In Crestline Exempted Village Schools, we remain committed to informing you of any developments that impact our schools and those we serve.
Recently, we have been notified by the Galion and Crestline Boards of Health that one Crestline Exempted Village Schools elementary and one Crestline High School student have a confirmed case of COVID-19 (coronavirus). We also have an additional elementary staff person who has tested positive. At this time, federal HIPPA and FERPA laws prohibit the district from naming the staff, students or family. However, for the health, safety and wellbeing of our students, it is imperative that we share this information with the Crestline Schools community.
The Board of Health has indicated that once there is a confirmed positive case, each known contact who needs to be quarantined according to existing protocols is contacted by the health department. With that said, the Boards of Health are still working on their calls to contacts as of Monday, November 2, 2020.
As we continue to navigate through an unprecedented time, it has never been more important to be transparent and supportive of one another. It is essential that we continue to follow the best practices to remain safe and healthy during this unique period.
We are encouraging you to follow the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) guidelines:
