Dear Families and Guardians,
In Crestline Exempted Village Schools, we remain committed to informing you of any developments that impact our schools and those we serve.
Recently, we have been notified by the Richland County Board of Health that a Crestline Exempted Village Schools staff member has a confirmed case of COVID-19 (coronavirus). At this time, federal HIPPA and FERPA laws prohibit the district from naming the student or family. However, for the health, safety and wellbeing of our students, it is imperative that we share this information with the Crestline Schools community.
The Board of Health has indicated that once there is a confirmed positive case, each known contact who needs to be quarantined according to existing protocols is contacted by the health department. With that said, the Richland County Board of Health is still working on their calls to contacts as of Monday, October 26, 2020.
We have also received word that seven additional elementary staff members are considered close contacts and will need to quarantine as a precaution. These staff members are NOT COVID-19 positive.
As we continue to navigate through an unprecedented time, it has never been more important to be transparent and supportive of one another. It is essential that we continue to follow the best practices to remain safe and healthy during this unique period.
We are encouraging you to follow the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) guidelines:
