Teachers and Students Recognized for Outstanding Work

The Crestline Exempted Village School along with State Support Team Region 7 are pleased to announce and recognize the recipients of the 2019-2020 Outstanding Educators and Students award. This event is typically held at Mid-Ohio where students, parents, teachers, and administrators are invited to recognize the recipients with a formal dinner and recognition of individual and team accomplishments. Student nominees were selected based on educator and administrative observations of characteristics and performance demonstrating recognition worthy behavior in one or more of the following areas: Academic subjects, arts, extracurricular activity, sports, community involvement, community service, independent living skills, transition skills, employment, social skills, or perseverance. Educators and educator teams were nominated based on behavior that was deemed “above and beyond” in order to improve educational outcomes for students, as well as how they were able to collaborate with parents, service providers, and others to improve educational outcomes for students. This award honors students with disabilities for their talents and skills. The role that families play in support of their children is also recognized and applauded. 

COVID-19 cannot stop the recognition and honoring of the 2019-2020 recipients. Please help us celebrate the educational team for this year: Dorcas Schreck (Kindergarten Intervention Specialist), Jodi Baker (Kindergarten Teacher), and Sarah Shields (Kindergarten Teacher). Your efforts, devotion to helping students succeed, and going above and beyond are truly appreciated. Due to the hard work of these individuals, consistent communication with parents, and innovative approach to learning they made a difference in the lives of their students. The two students receiving the outstanding student awards for this year are: Piper Morgan and Dominic Workman. These two students have excelled both academically and socially since the beginning of their kindergarten year. We can’t wait to see what the year ahead holds for them!
